Service Ministry

service

Our service ministries offer each individual the opportunity to serve the community and our local church. From the bus ministry, to answering phones, to greeting people as they come through the door, God intends for us to serve and be blessed. Please contact the church office for more information regarding these ministries.

Monthly Food Distribution
If your food pantry is running low, we'd like to help out. On the 3rd Friday of each month our service ministry team distributes donated food to anyone in the community in need. All you have to do is show up at the 25-E campus by 8:45am to register. All groceries are offered free of charge. We do limit the distribution of groceries per family and require a valid I.D. If you would like to contribute to the food ministry please bring basic non-perishable items to the business office at the 25-E campus.

Soup Kitchen
If you come to the 25-E campus on the 3rd Friday of each month, not only do you receive groceries and clothing, but you get a hot meal to go along with it! At 9AM, after devotions, you and your family can enjoy a hot, sit-down together, full course meal that will have you wanting seconds! It's first come, first serve so be sure to show up early to register.

Clothing Ministry
On the 3rd Friday of each month our service ministry team distributes donated clothing to anyone in the community in need. All you have to do is show up at the 25-E campus by 8:45am to register. All clothing is offered free of charge. We do limit the distribution of clothing per person and require a valid I.D. If you would like to contribute to the clothing ministry please bring clean, bagged clothing to the business office at the 25-E campus.

Helping Hands
Our helping hands are our “fix-it” volunteers who can help make minor repairs on homes when a need arises. This could range from replacing a window to  repairing a leaky faucet. We especially want to help the elderly and widowed.

Bus Ministry
We would love to stop at your home and transport you to our  church services! Our buses run weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays to bring your family to an environment where you can learn and grow together in your relationship with God. Contact us @ 606-248-4522.

Volunteer/Internship Program
If you are interested in learning about a particular area of ministry within the church and have some time to volunteer, our team leaders are available to teach you the ropes and help you become more involved in your desired area of ministry.

Ushers / Greeters
Our ushers and greeters stand ready to assist you in any way or to answer questions you may have regarding the worship service. From finding a classroom to getting you a visitor’s packet, don’t hesitate to ask our First Impressions team for help.

Parking Lot Duty
The parking lot duty is part of our Men’s Ministry. Each week, volunteers serve our Church Family by patrolling the parking areas to ensure the safety of the vehicles of those who attend weekly services.

Grounds / Building Clean-Up
If you are one of those wonderful people who enjoys making sure everything is in tip-top shape when everyone comes to worship, you are an amazing servant and we’d love to have you join our grounds/clean-up team. Please contact the office @248-4522 when you have some spare time to volunteer.

Hospitality Team
The hospitality ministry serves in a variety of ways to make our visiting guests feel comfortable and cared for during their visit with us. We also are privileged to support our Church Family in times of need or crisis.

Repair Affair
This annual community campaign targets local residents who may have extensive home repair projects that need attended to. Volunteers help build porches, ramps, decks, repair roofs, etc.

Hospital/Shut-In Visitation
When notified by friends, family members, or church staff, care pastors, deacons, and women’s prayer group are available to visit and pray for those who are ill, homebound, or in nursing/rehabilitation facilities.

Adopt A Widow
As part of their ministry, our Deacon’s and their families serve our widowed church members by helping with any needs that may arise in their lives, such as home repairs, transportation to doctor appointments, or just stopping by for a visit to encourage. Each year, we also select a widow whose husband has been faithful in full-time ministry, to receive financial assistance to help with unexpected expenses.

Buggy Patrol
Don't let parking be an inconvenience! If you have to park far away from the entrance, the buggy patrol can give you a ride. Transportation is provided across the FTC 25-E Campus on Sundays for the 10AM service.
